Diet during Ramadan

Diet during Ramadan?  Maybe it's the hunger, but lately I see stories all about food shortages.  Muslims world wide are fasting, however the world is starving not by choice.  Ramadan was designed to show Muslims how the less fortunate live and to point out the blessings we have.
Amidst this background there are globally stories which highlight absurdity and hope.
Al Shabab refuses aid to the poor and the starving. They refuse NGO's and they blame infidels.  They are the satans in the world.  Allah would not allow food to his children?  REALLY!
They banned the sale of samosas because they aren't Muslim.  Is there any wonder the country is hell? These people make execution an acceptable option even for pacifists.
However the aid is now going to the heart of Somalia.  It could be the opening of the door.
Quick other interesting food news:
-Israel had protests this week about cost of living.  Amazing to see even in Israel, food has become more important than the hate of Palestinians.  This week it was lower price for cottage cheese.
-New study finds healthy diet and exercise do not guarantee long life.  It may be more related to your genetics.  Pass the donut baby!!!!

Every Six Second, one...two..three..four..five..six..DEAD!

Every six seconds in the world a child dies of malnutrition. So as you finish this sentence DEAD, another child has died. One billion people in the world (DEAD) are going hungry. One billion people in the world are at the same time, trying to lose (DEAD) weight, because they are fat. One billion people in the world at the same time are complaining (DEAD) about the food they have. How is this a better time in history? How can we individually (DEAD) do better. It was a mantra for myself, but it keeps becoming more and more relevant everyday. (DEAD) Live Less, do more. live less, give more. live less, save more. (DEAD)
Eight kids dead and counting as you read this....NINE......
