Is it worth the sacrifice?
Since we have lost a lot of soldiers this month, the people are starting to wonder if its all worth it. Wether we should have ever gone to Iraq? Afganistan was our enemy. Do we really need to free the oppressed and the women?

I am of the belief we shouldn't have gone to Europe and saved the jews. Japanese attacked us not Germans. Was that worth it?

Preaching without Practicing
A man takes a jet to California. Gets in a Limo and rides to someone's big Mansion. He stays the night at this huge monstrocity of a house which uses electricity and other resources to keep it comfortable. He goes out in the limo for dinner at a restaurant where he spends more money on dinner than some make all week. Takes the limo back. Then takes a limo to a University to give a speech.
The Speech: You must save the planet. We are killing this planet. If we don't do something about the way we waste resources we will have no planet left. Vote to increase your gas bill, thus it will help us for the future.

Crowd goes crazy, he gets into the Limo and goes to the airport where he takes a private jet back to some other place where a limo is waiting.

Tell me why I should listen to jackasses like Bill Clinton and Al Gore talking about the environment. Why I will pay for their lifestyle. Stop travelling in a limo and flying in jets and living in large houses and spending crazy sums on food and you won't have to preach because you will have been practicing.

The only thing which angers me more than these jackasses is the people who listen to these type of people and think they are sincere.

While we Dance, They Die
In the case of Darfur, people have been dying for three years and all the world community wants to do is debate. This is another reason why I have no faith in the UN. The US government is wanting to classify it a genocide, but the Europeans don't. They don't want to have to go and help.
They rather musicians and celebrities come up with commercial events which really help no one. So we go to a concert and dance and raise some money, but while we are dancing more people are being killed. How is that really solving the problem.
Is it because its in Africa and these are the poor Africans and not white eastern Europeans? I remember them all jumping on the bandwagon for the Balkans, but in Rwanda and Darfur there is no response.

The world needs to step up and use force. Maybe we should send someone to talk to them? Maybe we should pass a resolution? Maybe economic sanctions on a country that has no econonmy? Maybe, if we are lucky everyone will be dead before we pass a resolution to intervene and we will not need to send anyone after all.

Sorry if I can't get up for Darfur concerts or any other consumer oriented events which don't solve the problem. I rather things get done and not be well publicised than have an issue the world is all aware of, but still the problems persists. So now people will know about Darfur, hell it should have been confronted and taken care of years ago. The cynic in me wonders if we could convert all the people in Darfur to Judaism will it help get them saved.

Heres what bothers me about Bono and his crusade. Its a way for the rich to get richer and use the poor to do it. Yes the cause is good, but why should we have to line the pockets of capitalists who already have money in order for there to be change. Why promote consumerism in a society which has too much consumerism. I propose a WHITE movement, instead of buying a red product, don't buy it and send the whole amount to the cause. Its time to bring back Joe McCarthy and start another Anti-Red movement in America.
The idea of corporations using a cause to increase their sales goes against my idea of helping the world. Lets help the world and reduce the consumption in the world. Why aren't people standing up and calling people like Bono out and pointing out the absurdity of his plan. Help the rich get richer, and they will give some of their profits to you, as they further deplete the world of resources to meet your demand for their product. I am going to be buying red. OH Yeah; right

How they can with a straight face say they want to help the world amazes me. They want to make the poor believe they are helping them by taking their money and ruining their planet and insuring their lifestyle and stature as one of the priviledged is guranteed. JUST SAY NO

Philantropy or Capitalism

Heres the question. When the world needs to reduce its waste and consumption, is it a good idea to create a vehicle to promote capitalism and consumerism in order to "raise" funds for the poor. Or are the capitalists just increasing profits for themselves and creating better economies for their products?

I believe buying stuff because it supports breast cancer or aids relief is counter productive. These endeavors only donate part of the profits. They also promote consumerism which I believe is the biggest problem globally. We must live less.

Ku Ro I

What's the matter? What is it? Whats going on? WHAT?
Thats what ku ro i means in Gujrati. Now I don't know how to write it in Gujrati, so I wrote it phonetically. This is the space where I plan on asking questions and addressing quesitons. If you are going to be a reader let me warn you; I can't spell and I am not a grammar expert. I don't want to be one either.

So I hope to rant and rave and hopefully begin a dialog. Feel free to participate, opinions are always welcome.
