Thoughts on this Economy
So what can you say? I am sure you have read all the stories, but still if you are like me, you have questions.
The times are so bad, and getting worse, yet the current President Elect keeps sending me emails to donate money. My kids are going to have to miss a meal so Michelle can have a nice dress for the inaugural. Is this the change? Missing meals!
I live in Texas, and in the midst of the most serious financial crisis the University gives an assistant coach a raise to $900 000! An the new President Elect ( give me $25) wants to fix the football playoff system. What about the education system? How about for a change we tell the football program to take a fucking leap and give money to people who teach the kids. Hell give money to those who can't afford to go to Univ. because in America Education has become a thing for the wealthy. So much for equality and change.
Bailouts; nice lets help the rich get out of trouble. Why because otherwise its going to trickle down to us regular folks. Well lets for a change take a chance and not bail them out. How bad can it get? How about asking everyone to live less. Wait I have heard that before, where?????
I have three TV's, 2 cars, 1 big house, 10 maxed credit cards and life is very hard.
I don't think the government is doing enough for me. I can't survive. I have had to cut out text messaging and now I don't use my cell phone as much. Hell I even don't go out every night, just 4 times a week. This is the worst crisis of my lifetime.
Auto bailout? NO, NO, NO,.. Let the damm companies go bankrupt. Lets become a nation of walkers. I want us to be the leading manufacturer of bicycles. Maybe the auto unions will finally admit that the unions in the modern times are a cancer on the auto business. Unions are great for workers rights, but they have morphed to where now they are sucking the blood out of their industries and not realizing a dead industry puts the union out of work.
Finally if you are going to bail out people, please bail me out of my mess. My company which has the grandiose goal of creating wealth for everyone is in big trouble. Our strategy of hitting it big in Vegas hasn't come to fruition, but with a little more money ( $10million ) we think we have a chance to get thru this cycle and perhaps come out better on the other side. If I don't drink, eat, whore and gamble in Vegas think of the trickle down effect. Waiters, cooks, dealers, entertainers, and whores are all going to lose their job.
